Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered into a search tool is sent to the third-party provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and returns any result through its service. We do not keep or log search terms entered through those tools on our own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a visitor sends a message to us, we retain the message to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the hosting and related services may receive technical information about that visit:
- The IP address associated with the device
- The browser and its version
- The device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them
- The referring site, when one is supplied
- Times associated with page views
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files stored by a browser. They help measure how visitors use the resource, including traffic patterns and page performance. Analytics providers may aggregate that activity. Browser settings can block cookies, although some features may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating and maintaining the resource
- Sending a search request to the appropriate partner service
- Assessing which pages are used and how they perform
- Diagnosing and correcting technical problems
- Serving advertising that may relate to visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
This resource does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case-record information. It provides general routing information for Wyandot County court records. Common Pleas Appeals, Civil, Criminal, Domestic Relations, and Judgment Lien matters are associated with the Clerk of Courts and its CaseLook channel. Upper Sandusky Municipal Court maintains a separate countywide CaseLook channel, while Probate and Juvenile divisions keep their own records. Ohio has no statewide public party-name case portal joining all of these local systems.
Ohio’s Public Records Act, R.C. 149.43, is a general public-records baseline. Court case access is governed principally by Ohio Sup.R. 44 through 47 and the court division or clerk that is the record custodian. A public CaseLook display is not a certified court copy, and restricted or juvenile materials may have different access limits. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party personal records.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes are supplied by outside providers. Information entered into one of those tools is governed by that provider’s privacy policy rather than this policy. The provider controls its retention and sharing practices, and we do not direct those practices. Review the provider’s policy before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
This resource links to the Wyandot Clerk of Courts, Common Pleas and Municipal Court channels, Probate resources, and other outside services. Selecting a link opens a different site whose own privacy terms govern that visit. Review those terms before providing personal information there.
Advertising partners may measure activity across sites to present targeted advertising. That activity occurs on the partner’s systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by:
- Search partners handling a query submitted through their tool
- Analytics providers used to measure traffic and performance
- Advertising networks serving ads on the resource
- Government or law-enforcement bodies when a valid legal requirement applies
How We Protect Your Data
We use reasonable security practices for information we collect. No internet-connected system can be guaranteed free from every risk, so complete security cannot be promised.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If we learn that such information was provided, we will remove it as appropriate.
Your Data Rights
Applicable law may provide rights concerning personal information. This policy does not assert a separate Ohio privacy-code entitlement. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal information held about that visitor
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Request deletion of personal information
- Object to or opt out of certain processing where the law provides that choice
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy in the future. When that happens, the current version will be posted on this page. No new effective date is stated here.
